Shipping Policy

Harrold & Lloyd – Shipping & Delivery Policy

Effective Date: 17/12/2025

Harrold & Lloyd Ltd manufactures bespoke, made-to-order products. This Shipping & Delivery Policy sets out how orders are dispatched, delivered, and handled once in transit.

1. Shipping Methods

All orders are shipped using reliable, tracked courier services.
A signature may be required for higher-value shipments.

Tracking details are provided once your order has been dispatched.

2. Lead Times & Dispatch

Most Harrold & Lloyd products are made to order.

  • Estimated lead times are displayed on product pages or at checkout
  • Standard lead times are up to 8 weeks from the date of purchase
  • Lead times are estimates, not guarantees

If an order cannot be fulfilled within the stated timeframe, you will be contacted and offered either:

  • A revised delivery date, or
  • A full refund

Orders may be shipped in multiple parcels, where required, at no additional charge.

3. Delivery Times

Delivery times begin once dispatch has occurred, not from the date of order.

Delivery estimates may vary depending on:

  • Destination
  • Courier capacity
  • Customs processing (for international shipments)

We are not responsible for courier delays once an order has left our control.

4. Risk & Responsibility

Risk of loss or damage to goods passes to the customer upon delivery, or upon signature where a signed service is used.

We strongly recommend inspecting your delivery immediately upon receipt and signing as unchecked if you are unable to do so.

5. Inspection & Transit Damage

All goods must be examined as soon as possible after delivery.

Any damage, loss, or delivery issue must be reported within 3 working days of receipt, supported by:

  • Clear photographs of the item
  • Photographs of the original packaging

Failure to notify us within this timeframe, or failure to retain packaging, may affect the outcome of any claim.

6. Heavy Items & Access Limitations

Some items may be heavy or awkward to handle.

  • Couriers may require assistance to offload heavy items
  • Any assistance offered by the recipient is entirely at their own risk
  • We accept no liability for personal injury sustained while assisting delivery

Delivery crews are not required to:

  • Remove doors or windows
  • Carry items through restricted or unsafe access routes

Where safe access is not possible, delivery may be made to the nearest accessible point, or rescheduled.

7. Missed or Failed Deliveries

If a delivery attempt is missed or access is unavailable:

  • The courier may return the item to depot or sender
  • Re-delivery costs may be charged to the customer

Orders returned to us due to failed delivery or refusal may incur additional shipping charges before re-dispatch.

8. International Shipping

We ship internationally.

  • Customs duties, taxes, and import charges are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated
  • These charges are not included in the purchase price
  • We are not responsible for delays caused by customs inspections or clearance processes

For high-value international shipments, additional shipping insurance may be applied.

9. Shipping Charges

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout or quoted separately where required.

Shipping charges are non-refundable, except where goods are confirmed to be faulty upon arrival.

10. Limitation of Liability

Harrold & Lloyd Ltd’s liability in relation to delivery shall not exceed the price paid for the goods.

We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from delivery delays, access restrictions, or courier handling.
